Your basket was a hit. First of all, this was a surprise party. All her family -- brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews -- from North Carolina where among the crowd, and she was clueless. A total surprise. She spent the entire evening in shock.
As for the basket. We insisted that she root through it on the spot, and it took her a while to figure out the theme. The first item she pulled out was the "Lefty" koozie, which she thought was cute. Then the magnets, and the ruler. Finally she realized it was chock full of lefthanded stuff. She loved, really loved, the T-shirt. Her reaction, "You remembered I'm lefthanded! Even my own mother probably doesn't remember I'm lefthanded!" was the exact response I wanted. So, yes, your gift basket was perfect.
Thanks for checking in, and thanks again for putting everything together AND getting it to us in less than 24 hours. We couldn't have pulled it off without you.
